1 Sew up skirt seams, add strip of fabric against back opening for a placket
2 Turn strip of fabric to inside and sew on seam line, fold placket so that one end is facing the skirt and one end protrudes. Gather and add waistband
3 Trim the bib, stay stitch the neckline, sew the bib around the edges (leaving neck edge free)
4 Prepare the collar by sewing around the edges, leaving the place where it attaches to the bib free, clip and turn out. Turn bib out
5 Sew front collar to whole of bib
6 Clip seams and turn seam allowance towards collar, fold back of collar in against seam and sew to bib
7 Sew fronts to back of bodice, add drawstring where indicated.
8 Gather the tops of fronts and back and join to (already joined) front and back yokes
9 Prepare the top of the collar with trim - sew collars together around outside edges, clip and turn right side out
10 Prepare a facing for the front edges (using a cut from the pattern piece)
11 Sew collar (according to the numbers) sandwiched between the bodice and the lining yokes and prepared front facings
12 Clip and turn right side out - handsew yoke facings to bodice
13 Cut upper sleeve from the whole pattern piece - cut away under sleeve and cut it from fabric
14 Join the sleeve pattern pieces together again and then cut the cuff part
15 Sew the upper and lower sleeve parts together, attach cuff wrong side to right side of fabric and add facing
16 Turn facing inside and sew to sleeve, attach trim
17 Sew sleeves into bodice, hem and add drawstring and centre front closures
18 Make belt and ties according to directions and measurements in pattern instructions
